The
Capital Youth
Mentoring Program
Train up a child in
the way he should go: and when he is old,
he will not depart
from it. Proverbs 22:6
The Capital
Youth Mentoring Program is a faith-based mentoring program funded by
the Division of Youth and Family Services to serve Mercer County
youth, ages five to 18, through individual and small-group mentoring
experiences. There are 2 programs through which the CDC aspires to
guide and nurture young people in Mercer County from childhood to
adulthood: the T.O.Y.S. Program and the
T.T.A. Program.

The Toys Pledge
Children who love
and respect themselves will feel the same way about others. They
will also feel the same way about their neighborhoods and
communities. Such children mature into self-confident, articulate
teens making positive contributions to their neighborhoods and
communities. As they the make such strides, the next wave of young
boys and girls look on and aspire to do the same.
