YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SHARE!!!
The Capital Corridor CDC is looking for men and women who want to share their time, knowledge and experiences with our young people. We invite people from all walks of life to consider spending some valuable time each week with a child or teen, age five to 18 years old.
Mentors join the youth with whom they are paired for “Program Nights”, attending workshops and presentations from invited guests and, when their schedules permit, accompanying the youth on group excursions. Mentors also share 2 hours with the youth in independent activities like visits to the library, the cinema or a museum.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, or would like to learn more about this worthwhile opportunity, please view the description below outlining what we require from our mentors and complete our online application if you are interested in this opportunity.
You will be contacted by member
of the Capital Corridor staff who will invite you to visit our
office to complete a background check form. Afterwards, we invite
you to visit the mentoring group of your choice to see what goes on
at ‘Program Night”.
